AIM-AHEAD Training Practicum (PRIME)
The AIM-AHEAD Data Science Training Core Training Practicum (PRIME) is an NIH-funded training program that focuses on developing skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications on health disparities. The PRIME cohort of 2022 includes 26 trainees at the graduate and undergraduate level. Throughout their PRIME program, trainees complete a variety of AI/ML courses over the course of their 6-month (graduate) or 8-month (undergraduate) program. Trainees are connected with mentors who are leading experts in their field who support their learning journey. At the end of their program, PRIME trainees also complete a group poster project which highlights their learnings from participating in PRIME. Additionally, select trainees complete an individual extended abstract project which details the AI/ML applications that are directly applies to their research.
