Hub-Specific Projects
As of February 23, 2026, the Northeast Hub has one hub-specific pilot project awardee. Allison Barlow, PhD, MPH (Research Professor, Center for Indigenous Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health), and her team are developing an AI-powered mental health training tool.
This project aims to develop a high-quality training dataset of expert-validated crisis management scenarios through a community research council. The team will utilize advanced prompt engineering and a two-agent architecture for development, and will conduct user validation with 10 home visitors to assess acceptability, feasibility, and preliminary efficacy of the training tool.
