The AIM-AHEAD Clinicians Leading Ingenuity in AI Quality (CLINAQ) Fellowship Program is seeking experienced mentors for its second cohort. The fellowship supports clinician-researchers in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to clinical problems, with the goal of translating research into measurable clinical impact.

Mentors provide technical and clinical guidance, advising fellows on study design, regulatory readiness, and the practical integration of AI/ML into clinical settings. The mentorship term runs from December 1, 2025 through October 1, 2026, aligned with a structured 10-month structured mentorship engagement calendar aligned with the fellowship.

Selected mentors will receive a $10,000 honorarium upon completion of the mentorship term. Payment is contingent on completion of mentor reporting and confirmation of mentoring activities.

Ideal mentors include established clinicians, researchers, informaticians, data scientists, or implementation leads with experience in clinical research, AI/ML methods, or translational implementation. Mentors are expected to meet regularly with fellows (recommended bi-monthly sessions), review project deliverables, and participate in required program events, including the CBSD Workshop in February 2026.

Mentor–Fellow matching will occur through AIM-AHEAD Connect, with all mentors required to complete the AIM-AHEAD Mentor Matching Survey to capture expertise, availability, institutional affiliation, mentoring style, and priorities.

The mentor application opens October 31, 2025, and closes Monday, November 17, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Selected mentors will be notified by December 15, 2025.
